Basic Requirements for TechNova Certification
When you become certified, you become a registered member of TechNova. The basic requirements for getting certified are:
For AScT certification you need a Diploma of Technology (2 – 3 years post-secondary training) from a nationally accredited program or equivalent.
For CTech certification you need a Technician Certificate (1 – 2 years post-secondary training) from a nationally accredited program or equivalent.
You need a minimum of two years of related work experience, with at least one year at the level of certification. One year of the work experience must be in Canada.
If the Certification Board approves your application, you will need to complete the Professional Ethics Exam which tests your knowledge of the Code of Ethics.
