Engineering professionals in Nova Scotia are from diverse backgrounds. They are part of a community that is engaged, supportive and informed.
There are many opportunities to participate in the professional engineering community as a member of Engineers Nova Scotia.
You can serve on a committee such as:
- Women in Engineering Committee
- Student Affairs Committee
- Young Professionals Committee
- Sustainability Committee
As engineers-in-training (EIT) or young professionals, you can become a member of the Young Professionals Facebook group here.
You can participate in the events they host and promote such as:
- Workshops
- Social events
- Recreational events
- Networking events
- Community events
- Volunteering
You can be a formal mentor in the Mentor Program. This is a wonderful way that a professional engineer can give back to the engineering community. Through this program an EIT establishes a relationship with a professional engineer who is approved by Engineers Nova Scotia. The mentors work with the EITs as they gain experience needed to become professional engineers.
You can make a submission to The Engineer. This quarterly newsletter keeps the membership informed of business and offers articles of interest.
